- Work Related (including Enterprise)
- Your Career Management
Making Choices
This is the “who am I” part of Progress File. Learners are asked to identify their skills, qualities, achievements, lifestyle and career interests. Some of this data is transferred into the Individual Learning Plan, ILP. The layout can be changed by exporting the documents into Microsoft Word.
Your Learning
This section supports learners when reviewing their studies, setting goals and identifying evidence of achievement. An advanced learning styles activity is included. The Action Planner helps learners to set meaningful targets and identify ways of achieving them. The Review page links to reports sent to the learner’s Progress File and gives tips on preparing for reviews.
Work Related Learning
Many varied activities support learners in making more informed choices about the type of work and enterprise activities under consideration. Learners can obtain clips of information about different jobs and are challenged to learn about Health and Safety in a fun and interactive way. An Activity Log and facilities for recording skills in work related learning and enterprise are included. The Enterprise section also incorporates tools for business planning, budgeting and SWOT analysis.
Your Career Management
Transition documents such as a CV, Personal Statement, Career Plan and a making applications guide are all included in this section. An interactive mock interview provides useful tips about making the “right” impression. Guidance is given on how to print or export sections or documents - although many can be disclosed on line using the e-portfolio - “My webpage”.
